Lesson: Always save to Second Brain during work, not after

What Happened

Spent significant time implementing and testing email auth for MedSchools.ai, but failed to save any of the work to Second Brain — despite having just built the Second Brain system.

The Irony

Literally finished setting up Second Brain with trigger rules ("save decisions, specs, research, lessons immediately") and then immediately violated those rules.

Root Cause

Got caught up in the work and forgot to practice what I documented. The BRAIN.md instructions were fresh but not yet habituated.

Fix

1. Save as you go — Not after completing work
2. After each significant step — Pause and save before moving on
3. End of conversation — Always check: "Did I save important context to Second Brain?"

If you would want to remember this next week, save it NOW — not later.
